stadium cost - still half billion?

I haven't been following this. I did notice the butt tax. Since the pull-tabs died, has the price of the stadium risen? Was 1/2 billion. (I still can't believe people will spend this kind of money on stuff like this. But that's just me.)

You can't have a world-class city without a world-class football
stadium! It will pay for itself, the same way Block E has!

Would you prefer spending the money on nonessentials like education and
law enforcement?
